The compeition has been bulldozing its way forward since may and today the winner was announced; as one of the judging panel it is my solem and honoured duty to pimp out the well deserved winner as much as possible; ~Mutagenaric is a wonderfully adept author who faced down some tough competition over the last 130+ days of gore-fest space conflict, and has won lots of tasty prizes as a result. I thoroughly recommend reading some of the entries, they are worth the time you spend.

On a not completely unrelated note, the DARK HORSE TOURNAMENT LEAGUE is forming ranks as we speak; i'm going to be entering and i extend invitiations to all; it loks like all the face-smashing and crotch-busting fun of the original OCT with the added bonus of flexible deadlines and the pick 'n' mix competitors and/or scenarios. you can do whatever you like and take as long as you and your opponent want to in order to do it. there are seperate roster lists for visual and prose artists so everyone can enjoy.

i think that's it on the whole 'new journal' front; i'm still buzzing with residual victory smugness from and am gearing up to start kicking arse and chewing gum in DHT/L.
